The gallery system includes 2 access galleries, 3 side galleries, 6 main galleries and 11 side galleries, whose cross-sections were variously widened, extended or newly constructed. Excavation was carried out using machine-assisted tunnelling methods and/or blasting. A new engineering control center was constructed in the east access area.
Special features: The data center is located between the Alpenquai Cantonal School and the Tribschen/Wartegg school area of the City of Lucerne, below Villa Schröder and directly adjacent to the Tribschenhorn Sailing Club on Lake Lucerne. Therefore, the highest attention was paid to gentle rock removal (minimization of vibrations).
