Rail technology comprises all systems that are central to future rail operations at speeds of up to 250km/h: Rails, switches, traction power systems, electrical systems for the railroad and tunnel-specific equipment, telecommunications systems, and safety and signaling technology.

As a general contractor, we were responsible as a member of ARGE Transtec Gotthard for the entire railroad technical equipment of the Gotthard Base Tunnel, from project planning to execution, trial operation and commissioning.


Special features: The project involved the installation of 2 x 57 km of slab track in the tunnel with 8 high-speed switches and 31 km of ballast track with 30 switches in the open section
