Project KMO
The Nakkaş-Başakşehir Section Lot 8 of the KMO project is a key project for improving transport infrastructure in the Istanbul area. As the final section of the Kuzey Marmara Otoyolu (KMO), it will help to significantly reduce traffic congestion in the Istanbul metropolitan area and create an uninterrupted link between Europe and the Middle East. By developing new transport arteries, the project will improve regional logistics and mobility and create new economic opportunities for Turkey.
The entire project was put out to tender as a BOT project, with a construction period estimated at 2.5 years. The operating concession is for 17.5 years. With a significant contract volume, Heitkamp Construction Swiss is making a major contribution to the success of this project. A key part of the contract involves procuring building materials and technical equipment.
