Heitkamp Construction Swiss GmbH is awarded the contract for the ‘Baumeister tunnel lighting refurbishment’ project on the Brunnen - Flüelen railway line
Heitkamp Construction Swiss GmbH has been commissioned by the Swiss Federal Railways to refurbish the tunnel lighting in the Morschach-Fronalp and Stutzeck-Axenberg tunnels (line 600) between Brunnen and Flüelen. The aim of the project is to modernise the power supply and emergency lighting in order to sustainably improve operational safety and infrastructure.
The planned refurbishment measures include various structural and electrical engineering works, most of which will be carried out on rails and under challenging conditions. In order not to disrupt regular railway operations during the day, the work will be carried out during planned night closures.
The construction work will begin in autumn 2025 and will be completed within a few months. We would like to thank the Swiss Federal Railways for their trust and for awarding us the contract. Updates on the progress of the project will be uploaded here
